Raffle At Breakfast For Military Personnel

RAFFLE AT BREAKFAST  FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL
All Veterans and military personnel are invited to a pancake breakfast to win tickets to An Evening with Coach Tressel when he comes to Cardington High School on March 15. Pancakes will be served at the office of Hospice of Morrow County, 228, South Street, Mount Gilead, on Saturday, February 5th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Lt. Col. Harold C. Clinger, USAF (Ret)

“Those who serve their country in the armed forces are highly respected and appreciated by Coach Jim Tressel, the Ohio State Football Coach,” said Mary White, social worker at Hospice of Morrow County who is Captain of the Honored Guest Team for the Evening with Coach Tressel on March 15 at Cardington High School

To thank local men and women for their military service four raffle tickets will be drawn at a pancake breakfast on Saturday, February 5 at 10:55 a.m. Four lucky winners will receive a ticket to the special dinner and a reserved seat at Coach Tressel’s speech, Live Life to the Fullest:  Family, Faith, Fitness, Football.

“We reserved dinner tickets for people who have served in the military,” said Cheri Williams, the administrative coordinator for the event. “Tickets for dinner have  sold out. It’s a rare chance to eat in the same room with Coach Tressel and the emcee Mindy Drayer from NBC 4.”

People currently serving in the armed forces and those who have served are invited to breakfast at the hospice office.  It will be a light-hearted morning filled with fun and laughter. To qualify to enter the raffle people will be asked to play a quick Wii game and to make a statement about the values being highlighted by Coach Tressel’s speech: family, faith, fitness, and living life to the fullest.

“We will select statements and include them in the souvenir program for the Evening with Jim Tressel,” said Ms. White. “We also hope some who attend the pancake breakfast will agree to be recorded on our video cam so we can post a statement or two on UTube to publicize the event.”

The Evening with Coach Tressel is co-hosted by the Morrow County YMCA and Hospice of Morrow County.
Event sponsors are Dennis Hyundai, First-Knox National Bank, the Cardinal Center Campground, Gompf Funeral Services, the Rob Hickson Family and L. Phillips.

Making Progress in Social Networking

The event Steering Committee has recruited a Social Networking Sub-Committee and that sub-committee has developed this blog, a Facebook page and a Twitter account.  We want to use this media to reach out to potential attendees of the event that live not only in Morrow County, Ohio but might come from other areas as well.

We hope that you will help us make this an event to remember by sharing with your friends, family, and co-workers that Coach Jim Tressel is coming to Morrow County on March 15th
